Ivory Coast
The 9th edition of the annual grill festival has opened in Ivory Coast. Participants are using the occasion to exhibit various Ivorian dishes.
Guests have come to taste grilled snails, fish, crabs, lobsters, sheep and zebra.
Thousands of visitors have appreciated the efforts of the restaurant owners.
“We earn a lot from it. I see that this festival has brought a little change in my life. I will feel great if I can be brought here each year. Today I have sold about 200 chickens. I grilled 30kg of meat and 10kg of chicken,” the owner of a restaurant said.
To some participants, this event helps people to forget years of political fighting.
“Ivory Coast bubbles and grows. I have been in this region for 22 years. I have known Ivory Coast for ten years now. I would like to say that it is a pleasure for me to be here,” the manager of a service company said.
During the festival, the public is entertained by various artists from across the continent.
